I am just about done with my bathroom. I didn't get much more than that accomplished today, though. Well, I did get the hanging out with friends part done.
This morning I ran to Walmart and picked up a few (more) organizing goodies. I got an adorable tiny 3-drawer thingy for inside the cabinet in the bathroom. It is perfect for tweezers, nail clippers and all of those other small things that seem to get lost. I also picked up two glass jars for cotton balls and q-tips and a clothes hamper.
The other night I unpacked a bunch of hair care stuff that has been in a box since we moved. As I was unpacking it, it dawned on me - If I haven't needed it enough to dig it out in the last 5 months, why do I think I will need it now? I offered it to a curly haired friend.
In a few minutes I am going to hang the cabinet in the boys bathroom (I will take a picture of it when it is done - I got it at the thrift store for $8 because the boys wanted a closed cabinet for their bathroom.) I also have a few pictures to hang in there. Once I do that, I will start on the linen closet.
Our linen closet makes no kind of sense. It is in the main bathroom, and is barely deep enough to hold towels. The shelves stop 3 feet from the ground - I assume for a hamper - but there is no hamper skinny enough to fit in there. Not to mention I am not a big fan of putting a hamper of stinky clothes in the closet with clean towels. So right now it is wasted space. Once I figure out what to do with it, I will let you know. (I know you are all on the edge of your seat waiting to hear!)
I think the dining room is going to have to wait until tomorrow. There isn't much there, other than stuff on the table that doesn't have a home right now. Oh, and a bunch of decorative stuff that has no home. Not sure what I am going to do with them.
The pork butts smell amazing! I don't know how I never came across this recipe before but I'm telling you... try it! Of course, I haven't tried it yet, but going solely on smell... try it! I will let you all know how it turns out.

I have a dead space at the bottom of my closet too. I got a plastic bin with a lid that fit the space and put all the first aid, bandaids, cough drops, etc. in it. They are out of the way and less likely to be messed with.

Here is how observant I am - The hamper I bought yesterday is a perfect fit. lol We are going to try using it and if the stinky clothes in with clean towels thing becomes an issue, I am going to do what you did. It makes no sense to me that they would leave this space. Crazy!
